- Un FPS per Wii? -

Hurt me Plenty

Hey Matt, I pretty much purchased a Wii on launch for three reasons:
1. Massive Party Hysteria
2. Potentially Wicked Controls for an FPS type game
3. Online Multiplaying

Suffice to say I am not yet impressed. Well, my question is this. When can I expect to be playing some great FPS game online against my friends, using my wiimote as this generation's mouse? I mean, I was hoping COD3 would be that opportunity and I'm sure many people were disappointed on that front. And I'm assuming MP3 will be single player like it's predecessors? I really hope that the big N gets up to speed with the online functionality that PS3 and 360 offer. The wiimote is a great idea, but we live in a world were the online platform IS key. Anyways I think your doing a great job over at ign as I trust ur reviews, so keep it up!

That being said, I got Wii for pretty much the same reasons you mentioned. The system is going to be huge for local gaming (I had 12 family members crowded around the TV for some Mii-making this Christmas break), but above all else I'm dying to get some serious FPS action on the system. For me, the FPS genre is where I can get the most out of competitive gaming, and in order to do it right we need online support.

As of right now there's no announcement of any online FPS for Wii though. The cat is pretty much out of the bag as far as why no games were online at launch, and if you're late to the party we can catch you up by simply saying "Nintendo wasn't ready" and leave it at that, but we also know that online is on the way, and from the sounds of it the Wii will be getting some support. Obviously our mouths are sealed right now, but let's just say we're hearing rumblings of Wii-specific versions of at least one of the main FPS franchises out there. Oh, and when we say "Wii-specific" we don't mean tacked on controls that claim to make it a new experience. We're talking an immersive, competitive experience built from the ground up for Wii. Here's hoping everything works out as planned, as I look forward to be fragging each and every one of you ASAP.

Mi scuso se ieri non ho specificato di non aver ancora letto "l'articolo", il buon JO mi ha fatto notare che non si tratta di un nuovo brand ma bensì di almeno uno dei principali FPS in circolazione quindi, rimane da capire soltanto di cosa si tratta! Cominciano le speculazioni O.O !
